Bharat M. Kavathekar is a postgraduate from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He holds a diploma in management. Shri Kavathekar's father was a student of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha.
Shri Kavathekar has worked as an officer in State Bank of India. He has been guiding students, preparing for banking competitive examinations, since his retirement. Shri Kavathekar resides in Sangli.
