About this book

India has a proud history and heritage of art and culture spanning thousands of years. The architectural art found here has the power to captivate the world. This book presents engaging information about selected ancient rock-cut temples in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. It covers the unique features of these temples, their architectural styles, the deities worshipped, along with related mythological and religious details.

A special highlight of the book is its attractive and well-presented color photographs of the temples. The author has personally visited each temple and carefully studied the intricate carvings, which gives the content of the book strong authenticity and reference value.
