Cotton is a major cash crop in Maharashtra. Farmers generally cultivate cotton using the 16 commonly practiced organic farming methods, but they often do not get satisfactory yields. Agricultural universities have provided cultivation methods for cotton and other crops based on soil science and crop science. However, this book incorporates biodynamic practices followed by over 70 farmers worldwide, which are often overlooked by scientists, under the concept of ISAP (Integrated Sustainable Agricultural Practices)—a comprehensive sustainable farming technology.
