About this book

7 August 2021… The day dawned, and the moment arrived! India’s champion athlete Neeraj Chopra threw the javelin 87.58 meters on his second attempt at the Tokyo Olympics, etching India’s name on the gold medal podium! At the Olympic main stadium—where only athletics events are held—for the first time in 125 years, the Indian tricolor fluttered and the tune of “Jana Gana Mana” resounded.

Professor Sanjay Pandurang Dudhane witnessed Neeraj’s unprecedented achievement firsthand and decided to put Neeraj’s story into words. This effort resulted in the book “Olympic Champion: Neeraj Chopra.”

Reading this book, every sports enthusiast can experience how closely Professor Dudhane observed Neeraj’s hard work and the ups and downs of his career. This biography, narrating Neeraj’s journey from the son of a farmer to an Olympic medalist, is not only inspiring for athletes but serves as motivation for all readers.
