या पुस्तकात मृणाल तुळपुळे यांनी देवाच्या पूजेत आपल्याकडे फुलांना असणारे महत्त्व अधोरेखित केले आहे. त्याचबरोबर तुळपुळे यांनी देशोदेशीच्या फुलांबद्दल थोडक्यात माहिती दिली आहे. देशादेशांमध्ये सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक, कलाव्यवहारात फुलांचे काय महत्त्व आहे हे देखील अतिशय रंजक पद्धतीने मांडले आहे. फुल देऊन आपल्या मनातील भावना व्यक्त करण्याची पद्धत नेमकी कधी, कशी आणि कुठे सुरू झाली याचाही इतिहास त्यांनी या पुस्तकातील एका लेखात थोडक्यात उलगडून सांगितला आहे. 
यातील बरेचसे लेख स्वतंत्रपणे नामांकित मासिके आणि वृत्तपत्रांतून प्रकाशित झाले आहेत परंतु हे लेख या पुस्तकात एकत्र झाल्याने हे पुस्तकही फुलांच्या एखाद्या गुच्छाप्रमाणेच आनंददायी आणि माहितीपूर्ण झाले आहे.

 

As stated by the author Mrunal Tulpule in the preface, flowers are a subject of her deep interest. She has traveled to various places around the world and has personally witnessed the beauty of flowers from different countries. Because of her passion for this subject, she has written extensively about flowers, which has ultimately resulted in this book.

In this book, Mrunal Tulpule highlights the importance of flowers in religious worship in our culture. Along with this, she provides brief information about flowers from different countries. She has also presented, in a very engaging manner, the significance of flowers in the social, cultural, and artistic practices across nations.

She has also briefly explained in one of the essays the history of how, when, and where the tradition of expressing emotions through gifting flowers began.

Many of the articles included in this book were previously published individually in well-known magazines and newspapers. However, now that they are compiled together, the book has become as delightful and informative as a bouquet of flowers.

मृणाल तुळपुळे या वाणिज्य आणि विधी शाखेच्या पदवीधर (बी.कॉम., एल.एल.बी., डी.टी.एल.) असून त्यांना ऑइल पेंटिंग आणि प्रवासाची विशेष आवड आहे. त्या विपुल लेखन करणाऱ्या लेखिका असून प्रवासवर्णन, खाद्यलेखन, ललित लेखन आणि बालसाहित्य अशा विविध विषयांवर त्यांनी ५०० हून अधिक लेख लिहिले आहेत.

हे लेख ‘सकाळ’, ‘साप्ताहिक सकाळ’, ‘तनिष्का’, ‘लोकसत्ता’, ‘महाराष्ट्र टाइम्स’, ‘पुणे मिरर’ आणि ‘माहेर’ यांसारख्या नामांकित मराठी प्रकाशनांमध्ये प्रकाशित झाले आहेत. त्यांनी अनेक पुस्तके लिहिली असून त्यांच्या ‘Coffee Diary and Travel’ (२०११) या पहिल्याच पुस्तकाला त्याच वर्षी ‘स्मिता पाटील पुरस्काराने’ सन्मानित करण्यात आले.

Mrunal Tulpule is a commerce and law graduate (B.Com, LL.B., D.T.L.) with a deep passion for oil painting and travel. A prolific writer, she has authored more than 500 articles spanning travelogues, food writing, literary essays, and children’s literature, published in leading Marathi publications such as Sakal, SaptahikSakal, Tanishka, Loksatta, Maharashtra Times, Pune Mirror, and Maher. She has authored multiple books and her debut book, Coffee Diary and Travel (2011), was honoured with the Smita Patil Award in the same year.
