लेखक प्रा. डॉ. प्रकाश पवार हे शिवाजी विद्यापीठ, कोल्हापूर येथे राज्यशास्त्र विषयाचे प्राध्यापक आहेत. त्यांनी राज्यशास्त्र विषयाचे विभागप्रमुख म्हणून २०१६ ते २०१८ या काळात काम पहिले आहे. शिवाजी विद्यापीठातील 'गांधी सेंटर' तसेच 'दत्ता देशमुख अध्यासन केंद्रा'चे समन्वयक म्हणून ते काम पाहतात. आधुनिक भारतीय राजकीय विचार आणि राजकीय प्रक्रिया, महाराष्ट्रातील राजकारण हे त्यांचे प्रमुख अभ्यासविषय आहेत. त्यांनी शिवाजी महाराजांच्या काळातील मराठा राज्यसंस्थेचे अभ्यासपूर्ण पुनर्विवेचन केले आहे. समाज प्रबोधन पत्रिका, नवभारत, साप्ताहिक सकाळ आदी नियतकालिकांमधून त्यांनी राजकीय विषयांवर वैचारिक लेखन केले आहे. त्यांना राज्यातील विविध संस्थांनी पुरस्कार देऊन सन्मानित करण्यात आले आहे..

The author, Prof. Dr. Prakash Pawar, is a professor of Political Science at Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He served as the Head of the Department of Political Science from 2016 to 2018. He also works as the coordinator for the university’s Gandhi Center and the Datta Deshmukh Adhyasan Kendra. His primary areas of research are modern Indian political thought, political processes, and the politics of Maharashtra.

He has conducted an in-depth re-examination of the Maratha state system during the era of Shivaji Maharaj. Through periodicals such as Samaj Prabodhan Patrika, Navbharat, and the weekly Sakal, he has written analytical and thought-provoking articles on political topics. He has been honored with awards by various institutions in the state for his contributions.
