'अॅमेझॉन नीती' या पुस्तकात 'अॅमेझॉन' आणि जेफ बेझोस यांची कामगिरी मांडताना लेखिका वसुधा जोशी यांनी वेचक गोष्टींवर लक्ष केंद्रित करून त्यांचा अर्थ उलगडून दाखवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे.

'जंगली.कॉम' या संकेतस्थळाच्या माध्यमातून २०१३मध्ये या व्यवसायाने भारतामध्ये पदार्पण केले.  आज 'अॅमेझॉन.इन' या नावाने विस्तार करून भारतातील बाजारपेठेवर अॅमेझॉन'ने वर्चस्व प्रस्थापित केले आहे, ते कसे हे सांगणारे पुस्तक!

कंपनीने २०१५ मध्ये भारतात 'अॅमेझॉन चहाची गाडी' ही मोहीम उघडली. त्याद्वारे ३१ शहरांतील १० हजार छोट्या व्यावसायिकांना एकत्र करून 'ई-कॉमर्स'चे फायदे त्यांना पटवून दिले. यांसारख्या व्यावसायिक पण रंजक कथा पुस्तकामध्ये मांडल्या आहेत.

भारतात स्वातंत्र्यदिन व प्रजासत्ताकदिन यांच्या निमित्ताने वर्तमानपत्रात पानभर जाहिराती देण्याचे तंत्र कंपनीने अवलंबिले; तर थेट ग्राहकांपर्यंत मालपोहोचविण्यासाठी डिलिव्हरी बॉईजची व्यवस्था केली. उद्योग विस्तारासाठी स्थानिक बाजारपेठांचा अभ्यास अॅमेझॉनने कसा केला याची माहिती यातून मिळते.

In 2015, the company launched the “Amazon Chai Cart” campaign in India. Through this initiative, around 10,000 small business owners across 31 cities were brought together and introduced to the benefits of e-commerce. Such professional yet engaging stories are presented in the book.

The company adopted strategies like publishing full-page advertisements in newspapers on occasions such as Indian Independence Day and Republic Day. Vasudha Joshi

वसुधा जोशी यांनी अर्थशास्त्रामध्ये डॉक्टरेट मिळवली आहे. त्यांनी 'नेस वाडिया कॉलेज ऑफ  कॉमर्स'मध्ये ३५हून अधिक काळ वाणिज्य वव्यवसाय प्रशासन या विषयांचे अध्यापन केले. स्त्रीमुक्तीविषयक  'बायजा' या द्वैमासिकाचे १५ वर्षे सहसंपादनाचे कामही त्यांनी केले.बीकॉम, एमकॉम आणि एमपीएससी यांच्या  पाठ्यपुस्तकांसाठी तसेच शैक्षणिक विषयक लेखन त्यांनी केले आहे. ललित पुस्तकांचे इंग्रजी व मराठी भाषांमध्येलेखनव भाषांतरे केली आहेत.  'संपदा', 'मिळून साऱ्याजणी', 'अर्थसंवाद', 'समाज प्रबोधन पत्रिका', 'अंतर्नाद'  आणि 'सकाळ' यांमध्ये वसुधा जोशी यांचेवेळोवेळी लेख प्रकाशित झाले आहेत. 

Vasudha Joshi holds a Doctorate in Economics. She taught subjects related to Commerce and Business Administration for over 35 years at Ness Wadia College of Commerce. She also worked as a co-editor of the bi-monthly magazine “Bayja”, which focuses on women’s liberation, for 15 years.

She has written textbooks for B.Com, M.Com, and MPSC, as well as educational content. She has authored and translated literary works in both English and Marathi. Her articles have been published from time to time in publications such as Sampada, Miloon Saryajani, Arthsambad, Samaj Prabodhan Patrika, Antarnaad, and Sakal.
