About this book

The soil, the wind, and the light whisper something into the ears of the tree, and the tree places a story into the cupped hands of a passerby… sometimes sour, sometimes sweet, and occasionally even a little tangy…

At times like a jackfruit…
At times like a mango…
At times like a tart jamun…!

After tasting, reading, and absorbing the story, the passerby feels delighted. The light from the story spreads across their face, and then the tree begins to bear new stories once again.

With the warmth of such ever-growing stories, this book gives every child—who reads, plays, wanders freely, and loses themselves in joy—a loving “Jadu Ki Jhappi” (a magical hug), embracing them and sharing stories they will cherish.
