The poetry collection “Jeevan Pravah” is written by Dr. Deepak Bhojraj. In this collection, he attempts to present the experiences of his life, his perspectives on life, and his understanding of various aspects of existence through his poems in a simple and accessible manner. The book includes poems on a variety of themes, such as human life, the poetry of the mind, nature, social and political awareness, quatrains, and light-hearted, playful verses. The collection contains more than 130 poems. Additionally, a few poems by the poet’s sister, Tarangini Kulkarni, are included in the appendix of the book. कवीचा परिचय

विदर्भातील दीपक गोविंद भोजराज ते अमेरिकास्थित डॉ. दीपक हा माझ्या आयुष्याचा उणापुरा प्रवास !

मी मुंबईच्या जी. एस. मेडिकल कॉलेजमधून एमडी (पॅथॉलॉजी), तसेच एफसीपीएस (पॅथॉलॉजी) या परीक्षा १९७३ मध्ये गोल्ड मेडल मिळवून उत्तीर्ण झालो. त्यानंतर अमेरिकेत उच्च शिक्षण घेऊन तेथेच चाळीस वर्षे प्रॅक्टिस केली.

यादरम्यान माझा मराठीचा व्यासंग चालूच होता. अमेरिकेतील बृहन्महाराष्ट्र मंडळाच्या मराठी अधिवेशनामध्ये माझा सक्रिय सहभाग होता.

उत्तर अमेरिकेतील 'एकता' या त्रैमासिकात माझ्या काही कविता प्रसिद्ध झाल्या आहेत.

Deepak Govind Bhojraj from Vidarbha—Dr. Deepak, currently based in the United States—is a reflection of my life’s incomplete journey!

I completed my MD (Pathology) from G.S. Medical College, Mumbai, and also cleared FCPS (Pathology) in 1973, earning a gold medal. Later, I pursued higher studies in the United States and practiced medicine there for forty years.

During this time, my engagement with Marathi continued actively. I participated actively in the Marathi conventions of the Brihan Maharashtra Mandal in the United States.

Some of my poems have also been published in “Ekta”, a quarterly magazine in North America.

Tarangini Kulkarni

तरंगिणी कुलकर्णी यांचा परिचय

तरंगिणी कुलकर्णी (पूर्वाश्रमीच्या ज्योती भोजराज) या शालेय जीवनापासून कविता लिहीत. त्यावेळी त्यांच्या काही कविता प्रतिष्ठित मासिकात प्रसिद्धही झाल्या होत्या. 'ईव्हज वीकली' या नियतकालिकाने त्यांची मुलाखतही घेतली होती. त्यामुळे कविता लेखनासाठी त्यांना प्रोत्साहन मिळाले.

त्यांना गीत गायनाची अत्यंत आवड असून आजही त्यांची कित्येक हिंदी, मराठी गाणी तोंडपाठ आहेत. या कलांमुळे त्या वीए झाल्या. प्री-डिग्री परीक्षेत त्यांनी प्रथम क्रमांक पटकावला. शिवाय इतर हस्तकलांमध्येही त्यांनी प्रावीण्य मिळविले.

तरंगिणी या गृहकृत्यदक्ष असून नवनवीन पदार्थ करून खिलवण्याची त्यांना खूप आवड आहे.

Tarangini Kulkarni (formerly Jyoti Bhojraj) has been writing poetry since her school days. Some of her poems were even published in reputed magazines during that time. She was also interviewed by the periodical “Eves Weekly”, which encouraged her to continue writing poetry.

She has a deep passion for singing and even today remembers numerous Hindi and Marathi songs by heart. These artistic pursuits helped her excel academically—she secured the first rank in her pre-degree examinations and also achieved proficiency in other arts and crafts.

Tarangini is highly skilled in household activities and enjoys experimenting with new recipes and preparing delicious dishes.
