कवी नंदकुमार राऊत यांनी या काव्यसंग्रहात एकूण ६५ कविता लिहिलेल्या आहेत.
यातील काही कविता या अतिशय हलक्याफुलक्या आहेत, तर काही प्रबोधनात्मक असून काही विचार करायला लावणाऱ्या आहेत.
विविध मानवी भाव-भावनांचे प्रदर्शन या कवितांद्वारे कवीने अतिशय प्रभावीपणे आणि सहजपणे मांडले आहे.
‘कंजाळ’ हे नाव कवीने जाणीवपूर्वक निवडले असून आपल्या लेखणीतून त्यांनी मानवी विश्व ठळकपणे मांडायचा प्रामाणिक प्रयत्न केला आहे.

“Kanjal” is a versatile plant that is used in many ways. It is used for roofing houses, while its dried flowers are sometimes used to fill mattresses and pillows. Similarly, the poems in this poetry collection reflect the multiple dimensions of the human emotional world.

Poet Nandkumar Raut has written a total of 65 poems in this collection. Some of the poems are light and playful, while others are thought-provoking and carry a message of social awareness. Through these poems, the poet has very effectively and naturally expressed a wide range of human emotions.

The title “Kanjal” has been deliberately chosen by the poet, and through his writing, he has made a sincere effort to vividly portray the human world.

Dr. Nandakumar Raut

डॉ. नंदकुमार राऊत हे मूळचे साताऱ्या जिल्ह्यातील असून, त्यांनी कृषि या विषयात पदवी प्राप्त केली आहे.
सध्या ते मंत्रालयात अवर सचिव या पदावर कार्यरत आहेत.
‘दौशाड’ हे त्यांचे आत्मचरित्र महाराष्ट्राच्या कानाकोपऱ्यात पोहोचले असून या पुस्तकाला अनेक पुरस्कार प्राप्त झाले आहेत.
साहित्य क्षेत्रात ते विशेष सक्रिय असून, विविध साहित्यिक संमेलनांमध्ये त्यांनी अध्यक्षपद स्वीकारले आहे.
सामाजिक, मानवतावाद आणि साहित्य क्षेत्रातील कामगिरीबद्दल त्यांना कॅलिफोर्निया रिपब्लिक विद्यापीठाकडून डी. लिट. ही पदवी प्रदान करण्यात आली आहे.

Dr. Nandkumar Raut is originally from the Satara district and has completed his graduation in Agriculture. He is currently working as a Deputy Secretary in the Ministry.

His autobiography, “Doushad,” has reached readers across every corner of Maharashtra and has received several awards. He is also actively involved in the field of literature and has presided over various literary conferences.

For his contributions to social work, humanism, and literature, he has been awarded a D.Litt. degree by California Republic University.
