श्री श्यामसुंदर राठी जी का कार्यक्षेत्र बहुत ही व्यापक रहा है। उन्होंने मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में स्नातक की डिग्री हासिल की है। वे पिछले पचास वर्षों से मार्केटिंग और कंसल्टेंसी के व्यापार से जुड़े हैं। प्रबंधन के क्षेत्र में उनकी विशेष रूचि रही है। वे विदर्भ इंडस्ट्रीज एसोसिएशन (VIA) के साथ-साथ नाग विदर्भ चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स के कार्यकारी सदस्य रह चुके हैं। उन्होंने फ्रेंड्स ऑफ ट्राइबल सोसाइटी, नागपुर में अध्यक्ष के रूप में भी कार्य किया है। वर्तमान में वे श्री रामदेवबाबा कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग एंड मैनेजमेंट (RCOEM), नागपुर में कार्यकारी समिति के सदस्य एवं संचालन समिति के अध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्यरत है। इसके अलावा वे सेंट्रल इंडिया इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेस (CIIMS), नागपुर में कार्यकारी समिति के सदस्य और खरीद समिति के अध्यक्ष भी है। वे एक लेखक भी है।

बचपन से ही उन्हें पढ़ने में गहरी दिलचस्पी रही है। समय के साथ उनमें एक आदत विकसित हुई, वे जो कुछ भी पढ़ते, यदि वह उन्हें ज्ञानवर्धक लगता तो वे उस लेख या जानकारी को काटकर डायरी में चिपका दिया करते। इस प्रकार वर्तमान में उनके पास विभिन्न विषयों पर चौबीस पच्चीस डायरियों का संग्रह हो गया है। हाल ही में उन्होंने हिंदी भाषा में 'एक जिद्दी प्रयास' नाम से एक पुस्तक प्रकाशित की है, जो उत्कृष्ट विचारों का उत्तम संग्रह है। उस पुस्तक की सबसे अच्छी बात यह है कि हम जिस भी पृष्ठ से पढ़ना शुरू करें, हमें अच्छी एवं जीवनोपयोगी बातें ही सीखने को मिलती है। श्री श्यामसुंदर राठी जी अपने परिवार संग नागपुर, महाराष्ट्र में रहते हैं और प्रस्तुत पुस्तक 'कृष्णं वंदे जगद्‌गुरूम्' उनकी दूसरी स्वरचित पुस्तक है।

Shyam Sundar Rathi has had a very diverse professional career. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and has been associated with marketing and consultancy businesses for the past fifty years. He has a particular interest in the field of management. He has served as an executive member of both the Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) and the Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he has worked as the president of the Friends of Tribal Society in Nagpur. Currently, he serves as a member of the Executive Committee and as the Chairman of the Governing Committee at Shri Ramdeva Baba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM), Nagpur. He is also a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Purchase Committee at the Central India Institute of Medical Sciences (CIIMS), Nagpur.

From childhood, he has had a deep interest in reading. Over time, he developed a habit of clipping articles or information he found informative and pasting them into a diary. As a result, he now possesses a collection of around twenty-four to twenty-five diaries covering various topics. Recently, he published a Hindi book titled “Ek Ziddi Prayas”, which is an excellent collection of thoughtful and practical insights. The remarkable aspect of this book is that no matter which page the reader starts from, they encounter useful and life-enhancing ideas.

Shyam Sundar Rathi lives with his family in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The present book, “Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum”, is his second self-authored publication.
