कवीचा परिचय

उदय अनंत माळगांवकर हे अभियंता असून वाहननिर्मिती क्षेत्रातील नामांकित कंपनी 'टाटा मोटर्स लिमिटेड, पुणे' येथील कारखान्यात ते उच्च पदावर कार्यरत आहेत. त्याशिवाय ते एक नामवंत लेखक, कवी, प्रशिक्षक व प्रेरक वक्तेदेखील आहेत. त्यांनी कामानिमित्त परदेशात भरपूर प्रवास केला असून जवळपास सतरा देशांत आणि विविध राज्यांमधल्या सत्तरहून अधिक शहरांत त्यांनी वास्तव्य केले आहे.

देशात, परदेशात होणाऱ्या सततच्या प्रवासामुळे त्यांना वाचनाची आणि लिखाणाची आवड निर्माण झाली. मराठी, इंग्रजी आणि हिंदी या भाषांसह ते गुजराती आणि बंगाली या भाषादेखील उत्तमप्रकारे बोलतात. याशिवाय परदेशात असताना त्यांना फ्रेंच भाषा शिकण्याचीही संधी मिळाली. अशा सर्व गोष्टींमुळे त्यांच्या जीवनात फार मोठा आमूलाग्र बदल झाला आणि ते लिखाण करण्यास प्रवृत्त झाले.

उदय माळगांवकर हे जास्त काळ घरापासून दूर राहिल्यामुळे त्यांनी आपल्या वेळेचा सदुपयोग करून घेतला. गेली पाच वर्षे ते सतत लिखाण करीत आहेत. मुंबई, ठाणे, कल्याण आणि पुणे येथील अनेक दिवाळी अंकांमध्ये त्यांचे लेख आणि कविता प्रसिद्ध झाल्या आहेत. गेली तीन वर्षे सलग त्यांचे निवडक लेख आणि कविता 'टाटा मोटर्स'च्या 'कलासागर' या दिवाळी अंकात प्रसिद्ध होत आहेत. त्यामुळे टाटा मोटर्समध्ये ते एक प्रतिभावंत कवी, लेखक म्हणून प्रसिद्ध आहेत.

गेल्याच वर्षी म्हणजे २०२२ मध्ये 'कलासागर'च्या पन्नासाव्या वर्धापनदिनानिमित्त त्यांचा पहिला कथासंग्रह 'स्वतःला ओळखा, आयुष्यात जागेपणी' हा कारखान्याचे मुख्य प्रबंधक आदरणीय जयदीप देसाईसाहेबांच्या हस्ते प्रकाशित झाला आहे. तसेच त्यांचे दुसरे पुस्तक 'संस्कारांचा व्रजलेप' हे प्रकाशनाच्या मार्गावर असून तिसरा कवितासंग्रह 'माणूस म्हणून जगा' नुकताच प्रसिद्ध झाला आहे.

Uday Anant Malgaonkar is an engineer working at a senior position in the renowned automobile company Tata Motors Limited, Pune. In addition to his professional career, he is also an acclaimed writer, poet, trainer, and motivational speaker. His work has taken him abroad extensively, and he has lived in over seventeen countries and more than seventy cities across different states in India.

Frequent travel, both domestic and international, fostered his love for reading and writing. He is proficient in Marathi, English, and Hindi, and also speaks Gujarati and Bengali fluently. While abroad, he had the opportunity to learn French as well. These experiences brought significant transformative changes in his life and inspired him to pursue writing.

Being away from home for extended periods, Uday Malgaonkar made productive use of his time. Over the past five years, he has been consistently writing. His articles and poems have been published in numerous Diwali special editions in Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan, and Pune. For the past three years, his selected writings and poems have been featured in “Kalasaragar”, the Diwali edition of Tata Motors, earning him recognition as a talented poet and writer within the company.

In 2022, on the fiftieth anniversary of “Kalasaragar”, his first story collection, “Swatahala Olakha, Ayushyatat Jagepani”, was released by the factory’s General Manager, Mr. Jaydeep Desai. His second book, “Sanskarancha Vrajlep”, is in the publication process, and his third poetry collection, “Manus Mhanun Jaga”, has recently been published.
