Me Shastradnya Kasa Zalo? : Dr. Jayant Narlikar

जयंत नारळीकर हे एक प्रसिद्ध भारतीय खगोलशास्त्रज्ञ, लेखक आणि विज्ञान प्रसारक आहेत. त्यांचा जन्म १९ जुलै १९३८ रोजी झाला. विश्वोत्पत्तिशास्त्र या क्षेत्रातील त्यांच्या महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदानामुळे त्यांना आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर मान्यता मिळाली आहे. विशेषतः ब्रिटिश खगोलशास्त्रज्ञ Fred Hoyle यांच्यासोबत त्यांनी विकसित केलेला होईल–नारळीकर गुरुत्वाकर्षण सिद्धांत हा त्यांच्या संशोधनातील अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा टप्पा मानला जातो. त्यांनी पुण्यातील पुणे आंतरविद्यापीठीय खगोलशास्त्र आणि खगोलभौतिकी केंद्र या संस्थेचे संस्थापक संचालक म्हणून काम केले असून, ही संस्था भारतातील खगोलशास्त्र संशोधन क्षेत्रातील एक अग्रगण्य केंद्र म्हणून ओळखली जाते. वैज्ञानिक कार्याबरोबरच ते एक नामांकित लेखकही आहेत. त्यांनी मराठी आणि मराठी भाषांमध्ये अनेक पुस्तके आणि शेकडो लेख लिहिले आहेत. त्यांच्या लेखनातून वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोन, तर्कशुद्ध विचारसरणी आणि अंधश्रद्धेविरुद्ध जनजागृती यांचा प्रभावी प्रसार झाला आहे. त्यांनी चमत्कार, फलज्योतिष, देव, पर्यावरण अशा विविध विषयांवर विज्ञानाधारित मांडणी केली आहे. त्यांच्या उल्लेखनीय योगदानासाठी त्यांना भारत सरकारकडून पद्मविभूषण आणि पद्मविभूषण यांसारख्या प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कारांनी सन्मानित करण्यात आले आहे.

Jayant Narlikar is a renowned Indian astrophysicist, author, and science  communicator. He was born on 19 July 1938. He is internationally recognized  for his significant  contributions to the field of cosmology. In particular, the Hoyle Narlikar theory of gravity, developed with British astronomer Fred Hoyle,considered  a major milestone in his research.He served as the founding director of the Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (Pune InterUniversity Centre for  Astronomy and Astrophysics), which is regarded as a leading institution for  astronomical research in India. Along with his scientific work, he is also a wellknown  author. He has written numerous books and hundreds of articles in Marathi and Marathi languages (duplicate repetition present in the original text). Through  his writings, he has effectively promoted scientific thinking, rational thought,  and awareness against superstition. He has discussed various topics such as  miracles, astrology, God, and the environment from a scientific perspective. For his notable contributions, he has been honored by the Government of India with  prestigious awards such as the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Vibhushan.
