Murdan

मुरडण या शब्दाचा प्रमाण भाषेतील अर्थ वळण असा होतो. कवी आणि कादंबरीकार म्हणून प्रसिद्ध असलेल्या बालाजी मदन इंगळे यांचा हा पहिलाच ललित लेख संग्रह आहे. मराठवाडा आणि कर्नाटक सीमेलगत असलेल्या उमरगा आणि आजूबाजूच्या परिसरात जी बोलीभाषा बोलली जाते, त्या बोलीभाषेचा, लयीचा वापर त्यांनी या संग्रहातील लेखांमध्ये केला आहे.
या संग्रहात एकूण ३३ ललित लेख समाविष्ट असून यातील ११ लेख महाराष्ट्र टाईम्समध्ये येणाऱ्या सगुण-निर्गुण सदरात प्रसिद्ध झाले आहेत तर उर्वरित सर्व लेख दै. सकाळच्या मराठवाडा आवृत्तीच्या ‘मैफल’ पुरवणीसाठी बालाजी मदन इंगळेयांनी लिहिले होते. 
या बोलीभाषेच्या आणि त्यातील लयीच्या वापरामुळेच या सर्व सदरांना वाचकांनी भरभरून प्रतिसाद दिला. या बोलीभाषेची लय, उमरगा आणि परिसरातील लोकांचं राहणीमान हे सारं अनुभवायचं असेल तर हे पुस्तक तुमच्या संग्रही असलंच पाहिजे. 

The word “Muradan” means “turn” or “bend” in standard language. This is the very first collection of literary essays by Balaji Madan Ingale, who is well-known as a poet and novelist. In this collection, he has used the dialect and its rhythm spoken in Umerga and the surrounding regions along the Marathwada–Karnataka border.

The collection includes a total of 33 essays. Out of these, 11 essays were published in the “Sagun-Nirgun” column of Maharashtra Times, while the remaining essays were written by Balaji Madan Ingale for the “Maifal” supplement of the Marathwada edition of the daily Sakal.
