जेन गुडाल या एका सर्वसामान्य घरात वाढलेल्या तरुणीला एक जगावेगळे, पण खूप मोठे स्वप्न पडले होते; ते म्हणजे केनियात जाऊन चिंपांझींचा अभ्यास करण्याचे! औपचारिक संशोधन क्षेत्राचा अनुभव नाही, भाषा आणि संस्कृती यांच्या मर्यादा आणि स्त्रीत्वाचा शिक्का; या सर्वांवर मात करून आपल्या उराशी जपलेल्या या अवघड ध्येयाचा पाठलाग करणारी जेन ही नंतर अनेकांचा आदर्श झाली. मानवाच्याच नव्हे; तर सर्व जैवघटकांच्या प्राथमिक गरजा निसर्गच पूर्ण करत असतो. निसर्गातील विविध घटकांच्या अस्तित्वावर मानवी जीवन अवलंबून आहे. यांपैकी एका घटकाचेदेखील संतुलन बिघडले तर मानवजातीचे आयुष्यचं धोक्यात येऊ शकते. म्हणूनच सहकार्य आणि सहजीवन महत्त्वाचे ठरते. हेच जाणून जेनने चिंपांझींच्या संरक्षण, संवर्धन आणि संगोपन यांसाठी पुढाकार घेतला. त्यांच्या अज्ञात आयुष्यावर तिने पहिल्यांदाच प्रकाश टाकला. जगभरच चिंपांझींबाबत तिने जागरूकता निर्माण केली. त्यासाठी संशोधन व अभ्यासकेंद्राची निर्मिती केली. आपली पृथ्वी सुंदर आहे आणि प्रत्येक प्रजातीसाठी ती तशीच असायला हवी, हेच या चरित्रातून व्यक्त होते.

Jane Goodall, a young woman raised in an ordinary household, had an extraordinary dream: to go to Kenya and study chimpanzees! Despite having no formal research experience, facing language and cultural barriers, and the challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated field, she pursued this difficult goal with determination. Jane eventually became an inspiration for many.

It is nature that fulfills not only human needs but also the primary needs of all living beings. Human life depends on the existence of various elements in nature. If even one of these elements loses balance, the survival of humanity can be threatened. That is why cooperation and coexistence are so important.

Understanding this, Jane took the initiative in the protection, conservation, and care of chimpanzees. She shed light for the first time on their previously unknown lives and raised global awareness about these remarkable creatures. She established research and study centers to support this work. This biography reflects the message that our Earth is beautiful and must remain so for every species.
