Parivartan

उषा माणगांवकर यांच्या ‘परिवर्तन’ या कथासंग्रहात दोन दीर्घ कथा आहेत. या दोन्ही कथा सामाजिक आणि वैयक्तिक जाणिवेच्या आहेत. या कथांची शैली ही अधिक बोलकी आणि प्रसंग फुलवून सांगणारी आहे. या कथांमधल्या नायिका या वास्तववादी असून, आजूबाजूला घडणाऱ्या नकारात्मक घटनांना धैर्याने तोंड देणाऱ्या आहेत. पुरुषी अहंकार आणि पुरुषी वासनेला जाणीवपूर्वक लढा देणाऱ्या या नायिका वाचकाच्या मनाचा ठाव घेतात. लेखिकेने प्रसंगांची गुंफण ही प्रभावीपणे केली आहे. सामाजिक आणि स्त्रीजीवनावर भाष्य करणाऱ्या या कथा वाचकांना विचार करायला प्रवृत्त करतील यात शंका नाही.

Usha Mangavkar’s short story collection “Parivartan” contains two long stories. Both stories are rooted in social and personal awareness. The narrative style is expressive and richly detailed, presenting situations in a vivid and engaging manner.

The heroines in these stories are realistic characters who courageously face the negative incidents occurring around them. These women, who consciously fight against male ego and lust, leave a deep impact on the reader’s mind.
