Ramkatha: Our Own Inner Story

The Ramayana, which narrates the great life of Rama, has for centuries served as a source of reverence, devotion, and ideal life values for people. Over time, countless writers and thinkers have presented this epic again and again, interpreting it through their own language, perspective, and understanding. The present book is a special attempt to present the Ramayana from the perspective of spiritual wisdom and inner understanding.

The primary aim of this book is to bring forth the meaningful insights hidden behind the incidents that occurred in Lord Rama’s life many centuries ago. Within this vast ocean-like epic are countless pearls of wisdom scattered throughout. Only when these insights are discovered and applied in our daily lives will the true purpose of the Ramkatha be fulfilled.

The book explains an important realization: the Ramayana is not merely an ancient mythological story but a reflection of the emotions and thoughts constantly unfolding within us. In reality, our own life is a living and moving Ramkatha. After reading each episode in this book, the reader is encouraged to reflect deeply: Which character from the Ramayana am I portraying at this moment? When is Rama born within me? When does his exile begin? When does a person become Manthara? When does one become Ravana? How much potential is there within us to become Hanuman? Through such reflection and self-inquiry, we can navigate the boat of our life with the right understanding and in the right direction toward its true destination.

The spiritual journey of Sarshree began in his childhood. While continuing this search, he studied many different kinds of books. During this period of exploration, he also practiced and studied various meditation methods. His deep curiosity inspired him to visit many intellectual and educational institutions. In order to understand the mystery of life, he spent a long time in contemplation and continued his research with dedication. Through this quest, he eventually attained self-realization (Atmabodh).

After attaining self-realization, he realized that the thread connecting every spiritual path is understanding. After this realization, he stopped his teaching profession and devoted more than two decades of his life entirely to the welfare of humanity and to spiritual development.

Sarshree says, “Although the paths to truth may begin in different ways, they all ultimately end in the same understanding. This ‘understanding’ is everything in itself and is complete. For attaining spiritual knowledge, simply listening to this understanding is enough.”

To illuminate this understanding, he has delivered more than three thousand spiritual discourses on various subjects. Through these talks, he explains very deep spiritual concepts in a simple, easy, and practical language. People from every level of society can benefit from the understanding shared by Sarshree. There are no restrictions of religion, caste, sub-caste, community, sect, or gender.

Today, people from every corner of the world are benefiting from the unique knowledge system of Tejgyan Foundation.
