Ruskin Bond हे साध्या आणि हृदयस्पर्शी लेखनशैलीसाठी तसेच निसर्गाशी असलेल्या त्यांच्या गाढ  नात्यासाठी ओळखले जाणारे प्रसिद्ध भारतीय लेखक आहेत. त्यांचा जन्म १९ मे १९३४ रोजी  हिमाचल प्रदेशातील कसौली येथे झाला. त्यांनी आपल्या आयुष्याचा मोठा भाग मसुरी आणि  डेहराडून या डोंगराळ भागांत व्यतीत केला, ज्याचा त्यांच्या लेखनावर मोठा प्रभाव पडला.  त्यांनी लहान वयातच लेखनास सुरुवात केली आणि वयाच्या अवघ्या १७व्या वर्षी लिहिलेल्या  The Room on the Roof या त्यांच्या पहिल्या कादंबरीमुळे त्यांना लवकरच प्रसिद्धी मिळाली.  त्यांच्या साहित्यामध्ये बालपण, मैत्री, एकटेपणा आणि दैनंदिन जीवनातील सौंदर्य अशा विषयांचा  प्रामुख्याने समावेश आढळतो. त्यांच्या प्रसिद्ध पुस्तकांमध्ये The Blue Umbrella,  Vagrants in the Valley आणि A Flight of Pigeons यांचा समावेश होतो. त्यांनी  आपल्या साहित्यिक कार्यासाठी साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार, पद्मश्री आणि पद्मभूषण असे  अनेक मानाचे पुरस्कार मिळवले आहेत. रस्किन बाँड हे आजही सर्व वयोगटातील वाचकांना  भुरळ घालणारे अत्यंत लोकप्रिय लेखक आहेत.

Ruskin Bond is a renowned Indian author known for his simple, heartwarming  writing style and deep connection with nature. Born on May 19, 1934, in Kasauli,  Himachal Pradesh, he spent much of his life in the hill stations of Mussoorie and  Dehradun, which greatly influenced his stories. He began his writing career at a  young age, and his first novel The Room on the Roof, written when he was just 17,  brought him early recognition. His works often focus on themes such as  childhood, friendship, loneliness, and the beauty of everyday life. Some of  his popular books include The Blue Umbrella, Vagrants in the Valley, and  A Flight of Pigeons. Over the years, he has received several prestigious awards,  including the Sahitya Akademi Award, Padma Shri, and Padma Bhushan.  Ruskin Bond remains a beloved writer whose stories continue to charm  readers of all ages.
