• The author emphasizes the need to study the miraculous events and incidents in the life of Sant Dnyandev with a balanced and faithful critical approach.

• Along with Dnyandev’s well-known literary works such as Dnyaneshwari, Amrutanubhav, Changdev Pasashti, Haripath, and various abhangas, the book also presents details of 45 additional compositions bearing the signature “Dnyandev.”

• Sixteen English books on the life of Dnyandev are available. In addition, several foreign scholars have studied his works. An introduction to these studies is provided in a separate chapter in the book.

• Sant Shreshtha Dnyandev harmonized the Shaiva and Vaishnava traditions. The book offers an authentic account of the transformations that followed, as well as a detailed description of the Palkhi procession.

• Through this work, V. L. Manjul has opened up a rich collection of published and unpublished reference materials on Dnyandev’s life, including sources in Marathi, Sanskrit, and various Indian as well as foreign languages.
