सामाजिक जाणीव जपणारी 'वाटचाल'

आपले प्रश्न आपणच सोडवले पाहिदेत, हा आईचा संस्कार जपत प्रतापराव पवार यांनी व्यवसाय- उद्योगापासून इतर अनेक क्षेत्रांमधली आपली कर्तव्य पूर्ण केली. आपल्याबरोबर दुसऱ्याच्या हिताचाही विचार सतत केला पाहिजे, हा संस्कारही आईचाच. अजय मेटाकेम , सकाळ माध्यम समूह, भारत फोर्ज, किर्लोस्कर ऑइल इंजिन्स, पॅन गल्फ ग्रुप, बारामती ग्रेप इंडस्ट्रीज यांसारख्या औद्योगिक आस्थापनांपासून ते पुणे विद्यापीठाचं नियामक मंडळ, इंडियन न्युजपेपर असोसिएशन , विद्यार्थी सहायक समिती, पूना स्कूल अँड होम फॉर ब्लाइंड, एसओएस बालग्राम , पुणे बालकल्याण संस्था , निर्धार आदी सामाजिक संस्थांमध्ये काम करताना प्रतापरावांनी सामाजिक जाणीव कायम ठेवली.
'सकाळ'सारख्या माध्यम समूहाची जबाबदारी स्वीकारल्यावर हे माध्यमच समाजाचा विचार करण्यासाठी वापरण्याचा त्यांनी कसोशीनं प्रयत्न केला. स्वतः घडताना दुसऱ्यांच्याही आयुष्यात काही ओलावा निर्माण करणाऱ्या वाटचालीची वेधक कहाणी त्यांनी 'वाटचाल'मध्ये वेधकपणे मांडली आहे. दोन भागांमधील ही जीवनकहाणी अत्यंत प्रेरणादायी आहे. यातील पहिला भाग ' माय जर्नी' या शीर्षकानं इंग्रजीतही उपलब्ध आहे.

Vatchal” – A Journey of Social Awareness

Prataprao Pawar, upholding the values instilled by his mother, believed that we must solve our own problems and also consistently think of the welfare of others. Following this principle, he fulfilled his responsibilities across business, industry, and numerous other fields. From industrial establishments such as Ajay Metachem, Sakal Media Group, Bharat Forge, Kirloskar Oil Engines, Pan Gulf Group, Baramati Grape Industries, to social and educational institutions like the Pune University Regulatory Board, Indian Newspaper Association, Student Assistance Committee, Poona School and Home for the Blind, SOS Balgram, Pune Bal Kalyan Sanstha, and Nirdhar, Prataprao continuously nurtured a sense of social responsibility.

After taking on the responsibility of a major media group like Sakal, he made a conscious effort to use the platform for the welfare of society. The compelling story of his journey, which also brings warmth and inspiration to the lives of others, is vividly narrated in “Vatchal”. This life story, told in two parts, is deeply inspiring.
