Dr. Diliprao Deshmukh Bardkar holds an M.Sc. (Agri) and L.L.B. and is an expert in organic and biodynamic farming. He is a renowned entomologist and served as a Provincial Research Officer at Hindustan CibaGiegy India Limited before retiring. He is a passionate advocate of organic and biodynamic farming practices and grows and researches various crops on his own farm in Bard.

He is the Vice President of the Maharashtra Organic Farming Federation (MOFF), Pune, and has conducted extensive research on pests affecting different crops, pest-borne diseases, and chemicals used in preventive pesticides across Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Through various voluntary organizations, he has promoted collaborative and organic farming practices, providing guidance and outreach. He also serves as an advisor to the Residue-Free and Organic Mission India Federation.

Dr. Bardkar has written extensively in newspapers and periodicals on topics such as the importance of organic farming and the dangers of chemical pesticides. His book “Sustainable Pomegranate Farming” was awarded the Agriculture Award by Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad (2022). He has published over ten books based on various successful agricultural experiments.

Awards and Recognition: He received a certificate of recognition for active participation at the World Agriculture Council, 2019. He has also been honored with awards such as Shetimitra, Sinchan Mitra, Organic Farming Artisan Award, Late Shankarrao Kirloskar Award, and a certificate of recognition from the Residue-Free and Organic Mission India Federation.
