Vinayak Abhyankar:

• After completing his school and college education in Pune and Aurangabad, he joined the Indian Navy at the age of eighteen.
  
• Participated in the Bangladesh Liberation War (1971) as part of the “First Landing Party to Bangladesh.”
  
• Honored with the Sangram Medal, Poorvi Aghadi Medal, and Naval Garrison Medal for his war skills and service.
  
• After the war, served as a member of the “Naval Advisory Group to Bangladesh.”
  
• Worked for five years as the Vice President of the Marathwada division in the Maharashtra Government’s Sainik Kalyan Mandal.
  
• After his military service, worked for a few years in private industries.
  
• Post-retirement, has delivered lectures and guidance on various social topics across Maharashtra.
  
• Has written extensively on social issues, especially war-related subjects, in newspapers, weeklies, magazines, and Diwali publications.
  
• Honored with several civic awards by various social and cultural organizations.
  
• Contributed writings to defense-related biographical compilations.
  
• Delivered talks broadcast on All India Radio centers in Ratnagiri, Pune, and Aurangabad.
  
• Provides career guidance to college students, particularly on the topic “How to face SSB?”.
