आरोग्यधाम पुस्तकाचे लेखक बी. के. चौधरी (तेली सर) यांनी ६ जून १९७१ साली विज्ञान शाखेची पदवी मिळवली आणि १२ जून १९७१ रोजी मा. वि. गणेशपूर, ता. चाळीसगाव, जि. जळगाव या शाळेत ते उपशिक्षक म्हणून रुजू झाले.

शिक्षकाचे कार्य इमानेइतवारे करून दिनांक २८ फेब्रुवारी २००७ रोजी मुख्याध्यापक म्हणून ते सेवामुक्त झाले. त्यांनी एकूण ३६ वर्षे गणित आणि विज्ञान शिकवण्याचे काम केले.

विद्यार्थ्यांवर त्यांची फार चांगली पकड होती, असे ते स्वतः सांगतात. आज त्यांचे विद्यार्थी नोकरीनिमित्त विविध राज्यात स्थायिक झाले आहेत, याचा त्यांना विशेष अभिमान आहे.

नोकरीच्या काळात कविता करण्याचादेखील तेली सरांना छंद होता. कोणत्याही सभेत भाषण करताना ते त्या कविता वाचून दाखवत. कविता करण्याबरोबरच त्यांना विविध विषयांवर लेख लिहिणे, मनसोक्त फिरणे, वाचन आणि योगाभ्यास करण्याचाही छंद आहे.

ते आयुष्यात दोन वेळा प्रचंड आजारी पडले; पण त्यांचे श्वास अजून शिल्लक होते म्हणूनच ते जगले, असे त्यांना वाटते. तेव्हा त्यांना समज मिळाली की, जीवनात सर्वात महत्त्वाचे काय असेल तर ते शरीर आहे. तेव्हापासून शरीर चांगले, निरोगी राखण्यासाठी जे करता येईल, ते दररोज सर करतात. योग करतात. संतुलित आहार घेतात. शुद्ध हवेत फिरायला जातात. दररोज एक तास परसबागेत काम करतात. एक तास कोणत्याही शेतकऱ्याच्या शेतात काम करण्यासाठी जातात.

B. K. Chaudhari, popularly known as Teli Sir and the author of the book “Arogyadham,” earned his degree in Science on 6 June 1971. On 12 June 1971, he joined the school at Ganeshpur, Taluka Chalisgaon, District Jalgaon, as an assistant teacher.

After serving with complete dedication and sincerity, he retired as a headmaster on 28 February 2007. During his career, he spent a total of 36 years teaching Mathematics and Science.

According to him, he shared a very strong bond with his students. He takes great pride in the fact that many of his students are now settled in different states due to their professions.

During his teaching career, Teli Sir also developed a passion for writing poetry. Whenever he delivered speeches at gatherings, he would often recite his poems. Along with poetry, he enjoys writing articles on various subjects, traveling freely, reading, and practicing yoga.

He faced severe illness twice in his life, but he believes he survived because his breath and destiny were still with him. These experiences made him realize that the most important thing in life is the human body. Since then, he has devoted himself to maintaining good health and fitness every day. He practices yoga, follows a balanced diet, takes walks in fresh air, works for an hour daily in his kitchen garden, and also spends an hour helping in a farmer’s field.
