- दलितांसाठी राजकीय हक्कांचा व सामाजिक स्वातंत्र्याचा पुरस्कार त्यांनी केला, तसेच आधुनिक भारताच्या निर्मितीत महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान त्यांनी दिले.
- त्यामुळे डॉ. आंबेडकरांची २०१२मध्ये 'द ग्रेटेस्ट इंडियन' या सर्वेक्षणात 'सर्वश्रेष्ठ भारतीय' म्हणून निवड
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and the reviver of Indian Buddhism.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar earned doctoral degrees in Economics from Columbia University and the London School of Economics. He also conducted research in the fields of law, economics, and political science.
Dr. Ambedkar participated in intellectual movements for India’s independence. He published socially reformative newspapers such as Mooknayak (31 January 1920), Bahishkrit Bharat (3 April 1927), Janata (first issue on 24 November 1930), and Prabuddha Bharat (4 February 1956).
He advocated for political rights and social freedom for Dalits and made a significant contribution to the making of modern India.
As a result, in 2012, Dr. Ambedkar was selected as the “Greatest Indian” in The Greatest Indian survey.
