माझी आत्मकथा

l डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर भारतीय राज्यघटनेचे मुख्य शिल्पकार आणि भारतीय बौद्ध धर्माचे पुनरुज्जीवक होते. 

l डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी 'कोलंबिया' विद्यापीठ आणि 'लंडन स्कूल ऑफ इकॉनॉमिक्स' या शिक्षण संस्थांमधून अर्थशास्त्र विषयात 'विद्यावाचस्पती' पदव्या मिळविल्या; तसेच त्यांनी कायदा, अर्थशास्त्र आणि राज्यशास्त्र या विषयांवर संशोधन केले. 

l डॉ. आंबेडकर भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्यासाठी वैचारिक प्रबोधन कार्यात सहभागी झाले. 'मूकनायक' (३१  जानेवारी १९२०), 'बहिष्कृत भारत'  (३  एप्रिल १९२७), 'जनता' (२४  नोव्हेंबर १९३०, पहिला अंक) 'प्रबुद्ध भारत' (४ फेब्रुवारी १९५६) ही समाजप्रबोधनात्मक वृत्तपत्रे त्यांनी प्रकाशित केली. 

l दलितांसाठी राजकीय हक्कांचा व सामाजिक स्वातंत्र्याचा पुरस्कार त्यांनी केला, तसेच आधुनिक भारताच्या निर्मितीत महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान त्यांनी दिले. 

l त्यामुळे डॉ. आंबेडकरांची २०१२मध्ये 'द ग्रेटेस्ट इंडियन' या सर्वेक्षणात 'सर्वश्रेष्ठ भारतीय' म्हणून निवड करण्यात आली.

• Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar obtained doctoral degrees in Economics from Columbia University and the London School of Economics. He also conducted research in the fields of law, economics, and political science.

• Dr. Ambedkar participated in intellectual and social awareness movements for India’s independence. He published socially reformative newspapers such as Mooknayak (31 January 1920), Bahishkrut Bharat (3 April 1927), Janata (24 November 1930, first issue), and Prabuddha Bharat (4 February 1956).

• He advocated political rights and social freedom for Dalits and made significant contributions to the making of modern India.

• Therefore, in 2012 he was selected as the “Greatest Indian” in the survey titled The Greatest Indian.
