शिर्डी साईबाबांवर भारतीय भाषांमध्ये आणि काही परदेशी भाषांमध्ये शेकडो पुस्तके लिहिली गेली आहेत. त्यांच्यावरील पहिले पुस्तक श्री साईसच्चरित हे १९२९मध्ये श्रीसाईबाबा संस्थान ट्रस्ट, शिर्डी यांनी प्रकाशित केलेले पुस्तक मुख्य संदर्भ म्हणून वापरले आहे.

The devotees of Shirdi Saibaba are spread across India as well as abroad. All these devotees were drawn to him because of spiritual attraction and the loving simplicity of Shirdi Sai. This book attempts to create a detailed, chronological documentation of Sai Baba’s life. It uses some primary sources and documents that had not been made public until now. As a result, certain assumptions and questions about Baba persisted in people’s minds. The author has compiled these documents from various sources and, avoiding exaggeration, presents information about Sai Baba in a simple and straightforward style. This allows Baba’s divine personality, noble purpose, and philosophy to naturally come before the readers, devotees, and other researchers.

Hundreds of books have been written about Shirdi Saibaba in Indian languages as well as some foreign languages. The first book about him, Shri Saicharitra, published in 1929 by the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, is used as a primary reference in this work.

Shirdi Saibaba’s methods aimed to free his devotees from narrow-mindedness, fanaticism, and prejudice. Even while teasing or joking, he always gave his devotees reassurance, protection, and comfort. His touch, glance, and words were believed to have a magical effect on those who met him. Reading this book, Sai Baba’s personality stands vividly before the eyes of the reader.
