श्रीमद्भगवद्गीतेवरील द्वि-खंडांत्मक भाष्याचा हा दुसरा खंड. प्रस्तुत खंडात आठवा अध्याय 'अक्षरब्रह्मयोग' पासून अठरावा अध्याय 'मोक्षसंन्यासयोग' पर्यंत विस्तारपूर्वक भाष्य केले आहे. त्यासाठी जवळपास पन्नास टीकांचा संदर्भ घेतला आहे; त्याशिवाय वेदोपनिषदांतील सिद्धान्त, पुराणकथा, गीता-विचारांना पुष्टी देणारे आधुनिक वैज्ञानिक सिद्धान्त, दृष्टान्तकथा, कौटुंबिक-सामाजिक जीवनातील उदाहरणं इत्यादींची योजना संदर्भानुरूप केली आहे. तात्त्विक भाषेची अभिव्यक्ती राखतानाच यथाशक्य सरळ-सोप्या भाषेत लेखन केले आहे.
गीता अभ्यासकांना निरूपणासाठी प्रस्तुत भाष्य आधारभूत ठरेल; अभ्यासकांबरोबरच तरुण वाचकांनाही ग्रंथ-विषय सहज समजतील, प्रेरणादायी ठरतील; असा विश्वास वाटतो.
सर्वश्रेष्ठ तत्त्वज्ञान म्हणून भगवद्गीतेला जगात सर्वदूर मान्यता आहे. अनेक देशी-विदेशी विचारवंतांनी गीतेच्या तत्त्वज्ञानावर आपलं जीवन घडवलं आहे. गीताविचार समजून घेऊन त्यानुसार कृती केली तर व्यक्तिगत-कौटुंबिक-सामाजिक प्रश्न सहज दूर होऊ शकतील आणि खऱ्या अर्थाने मानवतेची प्रस्थापना होऊ शकेल. या दृष्टीने प्रस्तुत भाष्य नव्या पिढीसाठी पथदर्शक ठरेल असा विश्वास वाटतो.
This is the second volume of a two-part commentary on the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. In this volume, detailed commentary has been provided from the eighth chapter, Akshara Brahma Yoga, to the eighteenth chapter, Moksha Sannyasa Yoga. Nearly fifty commentaries have been referred to for this work. In addition, concepts from the Vedas and Upanishads, stories from the Puranas, modern scientific theories supporting the ideas of the Gita, illustrative stories, and examples from family and social life have been incorporated wherever relevant. While maintaining the expression of philosophical language, the writing has been presented in as simple and clear a language as possible.
This commentary will serve as a foundational guide for students of the Gita. Along with serious learners, young readers will also be able to easily understand the subject matter of the text and find it inspiring.
The Bhagavad Gita is recognized worldwide as one of the greatest philosophical works. Many thinkers, both Indian and international, have shaped their lives based on the philosophy of the Gita.
