Inspired by this guiding principle, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj led the Maratha Empire with unwavering commitment. After the death of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb invaded the Deccan with a massive army, determined to conquer the entire Indian subcontinent. Sambhaji Maharaj courageously resisted this invasion and devoted his life to protecting the Maratha kingdom.

Throughout his nine-year reign, he focused on effective governance, ensuring the security and welfare of his people. His administration reflected a well-balanced approach to politics, diplomacy, military organization, revenue administration, finance, trade, and religious policy.
