Retired Joint Director, Department of Animal Husbandry

· Served in the Animal Husbandry Department of the Government of Maharashtra in various technical and administrative roles, retiring from the senior Class-I post of Joint Director.

Notable Work During Service:

· Worked for 4 years in challenging conditions providing veterinary services in tribal  areas of present-day Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha.

· Conducted 6 years of research under the All India Cattle Research Project at  Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri.

· Successfully diagnosed heavy metal poisoning affecting animals, humans, and  plants in the Talasari region of Thane district, and presented a research paper at the  national level.

· Successfully diagnosed CCPP disease in goats in the Konkan region.

· Diagnosed “Bulkandi” disease in goats and sheep in Nanded district.

· Presented research papers at several national seminars.

Post-Retirement Service:

· Served as a veterinary consultant in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area for 10 years.

· Actively involved in social work through organizations such as senior citizens’  associations, veterinary associations, and the Lions Club (Nigdi, Pune).

 Awards and Recognition:

· Special Veterinary Service Award by Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.

· Special Yoga Award by Shri Krishna Yogashram, Gulegudu.

· Special Service Awards from Sharayunagar Pratishthan, Dharmaveer Sambhaji  Raje Pratishthan, and Vidarbha Sahayog Mandal.

· Ideal Lifetime Member, Ideal Social Worker, and Lifetime Achievement Awards from  the Senior Citizens’ Association.

· Distinguished Veterinarian and Lifetime Achievement Award by the Senior Veterinary Association, Maharashtra State, Pune.

· Authored four books to date.
