About this book
This book is a brief life sketch of one of the most eminent educationists from Maharashtra, Padma Bhushan Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil (Anna). This is the story of a fearless educational reformer who dedicated his life to educational reforms in the face of ceaseless opposition from the orthodox community and upper caste population.
Writer has tried to describe his mission and work in a few words. All his endeavors to lay a strong foundation of primary education for the poor and untouchables are really remarkable and exemplary.
This is his inspiring tale of untiring efforts to the attention of all Indians, foreign readers and educational institutions in particular. Every incident narrated in this story helps us understand the extraordinary thought process of this visionary. Truly he has been a real stalwart in making Maharashtra a very progressive, vibrant state educationally, democratically and culturally.
This book is a tribute to the memories of this remarkable personality.
