लेखक परिचय
डॉ. जनार्दन वाघमारे हे विचारवंत, शिक्षणतज्ज्ञ आणि साहित्य समीक्षक म्हणून उभ्या महाराष्ट्राला परिचित आहेत. त्यांचा मूळ पिंड हा शिक्षणतज्ज्ञाचा आहे. प्राध्यापक, प्राचार्य, कुलगुरू या भूमिकांतून त्यांनी भारतीय शिक्षणपद्धतीवर मूलभूत चिंतन व लेखन केले आहे. सगळ्या महाराष्ट्रात गाजलेल्या लातूर पॅटर्नची निर्मिती त्यांच्याच नेतृत्वाखाली झाली. नांदेड येथील 'स्वामी रामानंद तीर्थ मराठवाडा विद्यापीठा'चे से. संस्थापक कुलगुरू होते.
डॉ. वाघमारे हे सिद्धहस्त लेखक आहेत. त्यांच्या वैचारिक साहित्यावर आजपर्यंत पाच संशोधकांनी पीएच.डी. आणि दोन संशोधकांनी एम.फिल. पदवी प्राप्त केली आहे. विविध विषयांवर त्यांनी विपुल लेखन केले आहे. आतापर्यंत त्यांची ६७ पुस्तके प्रकाशित झाली आहेत. त्यांच्या बऱ्याच पुस्तकांना उत्कृष्ट वाड्मय म्हणून महाराष्ट्र शासनाचा पुरस्कार प्राप्त झाला आहे. त्यांच्या 'समाजपरिवर्तनाच्या दिशा' या पुस्तकाला महाराष्ट्र फाऊंडेशनचा (अमेरिका) पुरस्कार प्राप्त झाला आहे. मराठवाडा साहित्य परिषदेचे ते अध्यक्षही होते. विविध साहित्य संमेलनांचे त्यांनी अध्यक्षपदही भूषविले आहे. महाराष्ट्रातील अनेक व्याख्यानमालांत त्यांनी व्याख्याने दिली आहेत. अनेक अखिल भारतीय मराठी साहित्य संमेलनांच्या परिसंवादांत त्यांनी भाग घेतलेला आहे.
सामाजिक व राजकीय क्षेत्रातही त्यांच्या व्यक्तिमत्त्वाचा ठसा उमटलेला आहे. लातूर जिल्ह्यातील भूकंपग्रस्त भागात जातीपातींच्या भिंती नसलेल्या, 'राष्ट्रीय सेवाग्राम' या नावाने ओळखल्या जाणाऱ्या एका नवीन गावाची त्यांनी रचना केली आहे.
लोकनिर्वाचित नगराध्यक्ष या नात्याने लातूर शहराच्या विकासात डॉ. जनार्दन वाघमारे यांनी महत्त्वाचे योगदान दिले आहे. त्यांनी राज्यसभेचे सदस्य म्हणूनही सहा वर्षे काम केले आहे. अशा प्रकारे शैक्षणिक, साहित्यिक, सामाजिक आणि राजकीय क्षेत्रांतील त्यांचे कार्य व योगदान उल्लेखनीय आहे.
Author Introduction: Dr. Janardan Waghmare is widely recognized across Maharashtra as a thinker, educationist, and literary critic. His primary expertise lies in the field of education. Through roles such as professor, principal, and vice-chancellor, he has conducted fundamental reflection and written extensively on the Indian education system. The widely recognized Latur Pattern of education was developed under his leadership. He was the founding Vice-Chancellor of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded.
Dr. Waghmare is a highly skilled and accomplished writer. Five researchers have earned Ph.D. degrees and two have earned M.Phil. degrees based on his ideological writings. He has written extensively on a variety of subjects, and so far, 67 of his books have been published. Many of his works have received awards from the Government of Maharashtra for literary excellence. His book “Samaj Parivartanachya Disha” received the Maharashtra Foundation (USA) Award. He has also served as the President of the Marathwada Sahitya Parishad and has chaired various literary conferences. He has delivered lectures at numerous literary gatherings and participated in many panel discussions at All India Marathi Literary Conferences.
Dr. Waghmare’s influence extends to social and political spheres as well. He designed a new village in the Latur district, recognized as “Rashtriya Sevagram”, in an earthquake-affected area without walls of caste divisions. As an elected Mayor, he played a significant role in the development of Latur city. He also served as a Member of the Rajya Sabha for six years.
In this way, his contributions across educational, literary, social, and political fields are truly remarkable.
