डॉ. श्रीकांत चोरघडे नागपुरातील अनुभवी व लोकप्रिय बालरोगतज्ज्ञ. १९६१ मध्ये एम.बी.बी.एस. झाल्यानंतर १९६४ मध्ये त्यांनी 'बालरोग' या विषयातील पदविका (Diploma in Child Health) प्राप्त केली. त्यानंतर गेली ५० वर्षे ते व्यवसायात आहेत. त्यांनी मानसशास्त्र या विषयात नागपूर विद्यापीठाची पदव्युत्तर पदवी (M.A.) प्राप्त केली आहे. भारतीय बालरोगतज्ज्ञांच्या Indian Academy of Pediatrics या संघटनेकडून त्यांना त्यांच्या कार्याचा गौरव म्हणून मानद फेलोशिप दिली गेलेली आहे.

'बालकांचा सर्वांगीण विकास' हा त्यांचा आवडता विषय आहे. त्यानं प्रेरित होऊन 'तारांगण' या नावाचं निरामय शिशुचिकित्सा केंद्र त्यांनी सुरू केलेलं आहे. १९७४ मध्ये सुरू झालेला हा उपक्रम आजही एक आगळावेगळा उपक्रम म्हणून ओळखला जातो. बालकांच्या व्यक्तिमत्त्वविकासाबद्दल व त्यांच्या वर्तनसमस्यांबद्दल त्यांचा विशेष अभ्यास आहे. त्या दृष्टीने 'उद्याची चाहूल आज' हा उपक्रम तारांगण निरामय शिशुचिकित्सा केंद्रात राबवला जातो. त्यात मुलांमधील वर्तनसमस्यांची कारणपरंपरा शोधून त्यावर उपाय सुचवले जातात. कमीतकमी वर्तनसमस्या कशा येतील, याविषयी आईबाबांना प्रतिबंधात्मक समुपदेशन केलं जातं.

Dr. Shrikant Chorghade is an experienced and highly respected pediatrician from  Nagpur. After earning his M.B.B.S. degree in 1961, he obtained a Diploma in Child  Health (D.C.H.) in 1964. He has been practicing pediatrics for over 50 years. In  addition, he earned a Master’s degree (M.A.) in Psychology from Nagpur University.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to child healthcare, he was awarded  an Honorary Fellowship by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP).

His favorite area of work is the holistic development of children. Inspired by this  vision, he established “Tarangan”, a comprehensive child healthcare center. Founded in 1974, Tarangan continues to be recognized as a unique and pioneering initiative in pediatric care.

Dr. Chorghade has a special interest in child personality development and behavioral problems in children. With this focus, Tarangan runs a program called “Udyachi  Chahool Aaj” (Tomorrow’s Signs Today). Through this initiative, the underlying causes of behavioral issues in children are identified and appropriate solutions are suggested. The program also provides preventive counseling for parents, helping them  understand how to minimize behavioral problems and support their children’s healthy emotional and psychological development.
