To ensure that no poor person is deprived of medical treatment, the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Cell was established on the seventh floor of Mantralaya during the tenure of former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Mr. Omprakash Shete was appointed as the head of this cell.

Between 2015 and 2019, the cell worked tirelessly—day and night—to arrange free surgeries for lakhs of patients suffering from serious illnesses. This book narrates the story of those dedicated efforts.

उच्चविद्याविभूषित ओमप्रकाश शेटे यांनी मुख्यमंत्री वैद्यकीय साहाय्यता कक्षाचे प्रमुख म्हणून लक्षणीय कामगिरी बजावली. राज्याच्या उच्चाधिकार तपासणी समितीचे सदस्य या आजवर २४ लाख रुग्णांवर मोफत वैद्यकीय करण्यासाठी मोलाचे सहकार्य केले. त्यांच्या सामाजिक कार्यासाठी त्यांना अनेकविध पुरस्कारांनी गौरविण्यात आले आहे.

Highly educated Omprakash Shete has delivered notable performance as the Head of the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Cell. As a member of the State High-Powered Scrutiny Committee, he has made significant contributions toward providing free medical treatment to around 2.4 million (24 lakh) patients so far.

He has been honored with numerous awards for his social work
