To ensure that no poor person is deprived of medical treatment, the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Cell was established on the seventh floor of Mantralaya during the tenure of former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Mr. Omprakash Shete was appointed as the head of this cell.
Between 2015 and 2019, the cell worked tirelessly—day and night—to arrange free surgeries for lakhs of patients suffering from serious illnesses. This book narrates the story of those dedicated efforts.
