Values of Money (PB)

Author(s):  Prafulla Wankhede
The book urges you to dream big, but at the same time it insists that you define your priorities and work towards achieving your goals. Consistency is key and choosing the right path is always recommended.

"While we regularly calculate money, very few of us know its value! Its value becomes known to us when we work hard to earn it. Therefore, failing to acquire financial skills and literacy invites various challenges and obstacles. Financially literate youth will guarantee a bright future of our nation. And while financial literacy could appear slightly complicated and dry, Mr. Prafulla Wankhede has lucidly explained these concepts through a series of articles in this book. Apart from being an accomplished and successful entrepreneur, the bibliophile in Prafulla is working relentlessly to develop a reading culture through the Let’s Read India movement. I feel confident that this book will inspire every reader, build curiosity and awareness about financial matters and enable them to seek happiness through financial planning."
Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar

"The intelligentsia analyzing the Marathi mindset would arrive at a consensus on our calculative nature. We are content in the circumstances around us, a trait that has spanned generations and refuses to depart soon. We also have the tendency to glorify poverty and develop pangs of guilt when it comes to acquiring wealth and becoming rich. These flaws and attributes have become embedded in our nature. While we were taught the importance of working hard, there was no emphasis on making more money, creating wealth and happily consuming worldly pleasures and joy. Thus, the Maharashtrian community acquired the trait of working hard but they are not able to translate this hard work into achieving prosperity. Apathy towards wealth has become a characteristic of the Marathi DNA! My friend Prafulla Wankhede, today’s young, talented and successful entrepreneur, has resolved to change this attitude. I am happy that these critical subjects, he constantly speaks and writes about, are now in the public domain through this book. Prafulla often states that we can’t differentiate intellect from wealth, and failure to use them at the right place and time leads to their loss. Apart from this critical perspective, Prafulla’s inspiring journey from growing up as a bright and intelligent kid in rural Maharashtra to becoming a successful entrepreneur at a very young age is a part of this book. I feel confident that this book will inspire youth and enable them to gain prudence, wealth and prosperity. Although it is important to work hard and earn in plenty, it is also critical to understand where and how to spend or invest this wealth. I am sure this book will inspire and develop a positive attitude amongst the Maharashtrian community to earning money and creating wealth."

"The corona virus pandemic compelled us to depart from our regular, normal life. The importance of people around us was best understood during these two years. The technology era in which we live, enables us to earn money through business, investments and hard work. But it also makes us realize that this wealth is transient. Investing in emotions, love and kindness in people around us yields the best returns! Hence, it is important to invest this technology in our friends and relatives, spend money on our family members and plan our savings to ensure a secure life as senior citizens. It is impossible to quantify the returns of these investments. PrafullaWankhede has subtly shared these critical life lessons in this book."
