सरदार, शास्त्री-पंडित, शाहीर, वतनदार, पाटील-देशमुख, सावकार, आदिवासी समूहाचा नाईक इत्यादी घराण्यांचा आणि त्यांच्या वाड्यांचा माहितीपूर्ण वेध या पुस्तकात घेतला आहे. 
वाडे आणि त्यांचे स्थापत्य, त्यांचा संदर्भासहित इतिहास, स्वतः लेखकाने काढलेल्या दीडशेहून अधिक दुर्मिळ वस्तूंचे आणि वाड्यांच्या छायाचित्रांचा समावेश यात आहे.

This book includes information about certain wadas (mansions) and families of the Maratha Empire, from Chhatrapati Shivaji’s commander Mankoji Dahatonde to the last Peshwa, Bajirao II, and his administrator Trimbakji Dengle.

Titled “Aitihasik Wade va Gharani” (Historical Wadas and Families), it is a well-researched document that explores both famous and lesser-known wadas and families from the Maratha period in Ahilyanagar district.

The book covers families from different periods of the Maratha Empire, under various rulers, and belonging to diverse castes and religions. It provides a detailed study of families such as Sardars, Shastri-Pandits, Shahirs (poets), Vatandars, Patil-Deshmukhs, bankers, and tribal leaders (Naiks), along with their wadas.

The book includes the architecture of the wadas, their historical context, and more than  150 rare objects and photographs of wadas personally collected by the author.

Additionally, it contains popular legends, folklore, family relations, traditions, the current condition of the wadas, unsettling realities, and some fascinating anecdotes, making it an engaging read.

सुमित डेंगळे हे युवा लेखक, मुक्तपत्रकार आणि इतिहास अभ्यासक आहेत. 
पुण्यातल्या कोथरुडच्या MIT college मधून IT Engineering चे शिक्षण घेतल्यानंतर त्यांनी सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठातून Communication and Journalism विषयात मास्टर्स केले आहे. 
मराठ्यांच्या इतिहासाचे अभ्यासक असून मोडी लिपीचे ते जाणकार आहेत. भारत इतिहास संशोधक मंडळाचे आजन्म सभासद आहेत. आजवर काही नियतकालिकं, दृकश्राव्य माध्यमं यांच्या माध्यमातून लेखन. 
सध्या वडिलोपार्जित व्यवसायसमूहाचं ते काम पाहतात. तसचं मुक्तपत्रकारिता आणि डिजिटल मार्केटिंग क्षेत्रात कार्यरत. लेखनासह संपादनाचा अनुभव.

Sumit Dengle is a young author, freelance journalist, and historian. After completing his IT Engineering education at MIT College, Kothrud, Pune, he pursued a Master’s in Communication and Journalism from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

He is a scholar of Maratha history and is well-versed in the Modi script. He is a lifelong member of the Bharat Itihas Sanshodhak Mandal (Indian History Research Association). He has contributed writings to various periodicals and audiovisual media.

Currently, he manages his family business group and is also active in freelance journalism and digital marketing. In addition to writing, he has experience in editing.

In his native village of Nimgaonjali, Sangamner Taluka, he organizes programs commemorating the death anniversary of Trimbakji Dengle and conducts “Dengle Wada Heritage Walks”.
