About this book
Bhagwan Buddha
“Buddha” is not a name, surname, or nickname; it represents a state of being. In this state, a person realizes the answer to the question, “Who am I?” In this world, some people rise above ignorance and become Buddha. The path to becoming Buddha first requires the use of intelligence and common knowledge. Intelligence helps one escape from the traps of various beliefs and assumptions. However, if it becomes trapped in intellectual pride, the confusion only increases instead of resolving. If we develop our intellect to its highest potential, with its help we can become wise and attain inner steadiness.
How should the mind and intellect be used? How can the mind be kept pure? How can harmony between the mind and intellect be achieved? When these aspects are balanced properly, the intellect reaches its highest development.
Because Gautama Buddha used his mind and intellect in the right way, he attained Sambodhi. Sambodhi means understanding. Only after this understanding can Buddhahood be attained.
After attaining Sambodhi, Gautama Buddha came into contact with many people. These included ordinary householders, members of royal families, monks, and various other individuals. Through true knowledge, he understood the mental state of people and guided them accordingly. Those who listened attentively and understood his teachings benefited greatly from his presence. However, those who listened only superficially continued to live their lives as before.
“There is suffering, there is a cause of suffering, and there is a way to end suffering.” By explaining this chain in detail, Gautama Buddha gave teachings that lead people toward a state free from suffering. In this book, Sirshree explains the same teachings in today’s context with many examples. He also provides commentary relevant to modern times. This book, which teaches readers to look at everyday problems from a new perspective, will become a close and helpful companion in life.
