About this book

  • Even after nearly 70 years of independence, the condition of farmers in the country has not changed significantly. Surrounded by multiple challenges such as drought, hailstorms, unremunerative prices for farm produce, and shortages of electricity and water, the farmer (Baliraja) continues to struggle. This book presents a vivid and poignant depiction of this harsh reality.
  • It reflects thoughtful insights on what farmers can do to overcome adverse circumstances.
  • It offers guidance on adopting useful experiments and new technologies for profitable farming, and explains how progress can be achieved through self-reliance and cooperation.
  • It emphasizes the importance of education, the constructive use of rural women’s strength, and discusses issues like addiction, laziness, and time management.
  • The content is presented in a narrative, story-like form, creating a heartfelt and engaging dialogue.

This book is a meaningful conversation with farmers by rural thinker Dr. D. T. Bhosale, titled “Dialogue with the Farmer (Samvad Balirajyashi)”.
