लेखक परिचय

महाराष्ट्र के राजनैतिक, सामाजिक जीवन का जाना-पहचाना नाम! केवल भाजपा के नेता के रूप में ही नहीं बल्कि अध्ययनशील-मननशील और संवेदनशील सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता के रूप में उन्हें पूरा महाराष्ट्र जानता है। भाजपा के कार्य विस्तार के लिए स्व. वसंतराव भागवत ने सन् 1980 में  जिन युवाओं का चयन किया उनमें से एक हैं माधव भांडारी। आपातकाल के दौरान 'साप्ताहिक विवेक' में पत्रकारिता, इसके अलावा  14 गारिबाल्डी स्ट्रीट, प्रतिमा आणि वास्तव (पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री डॉ. मनमोहन  सिंह के कार्यों का कच्चा-चिट्ठा), डाव्यांची ढोंगबाजी जैसी कई किताबों के लेखका इन किताबों के  माध्यम से माधव भांडारी के भीतर छिपे खोजी पत्रकार और जागरुक  शोधार्थी के दर्शन होते हैं। यह किताब अयोध्या उनके गहन अध्ययन की परिचायक है।

भारत की स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के बाद सन् 1949 में अयोध्या राम जन्मभूमि  मन्दिर के मुद्दे में उछाल आया और मन्दिर निर्माण के लिए विश्व हिंदू परिषद  ने सन् 1984 से आंदोलन शुरू किया। इस आंदोलन की आँच जैसे-जैसे बढ़ती गई वैसे-वैसे इस लड़ाई को विभिन्न राजनैतिक सन्दर्भ मिलते गए और उसके कई  नतीजे सामने आने लगे। एक ओर राजनैतिक संघर्ष और दूसरी ओर न्यायालयीन  लड़ाई, दुतरफ़ा रास्ते  से राम जन्मभूमि आंदोलन विस्तार पा रहा था। माधव भांडारी की इस किताब में उन दोनों पहलुओं पर पुख्ता सबूतों के साथ  विस्तारपूर्वक विचार किया गया है।

माधव भांडारी ने अयोध्या मुद्दे पर प्राचीन काल से आज तक बड़ी सहजता  से शोध कार्य किया है। भारतीय राजनीति को नया मोड़ देने वाली अयोध्या  और  राम जन्मभूमि पर  इस किताब में समग्रता से चर्चा की गई है। अयोध्या के प्राचीन अस्तित्व के कई प्रमाण, राम जन्मभूमि के लिए पिछले पाँच  शतकों में हुआ संघर्ष और राम जन्मभूमि आंदोलन के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर इस  वजह से हुई ऐतिहासिक और राजनैतिक चर्चा तथा उसका देश के राजनीतिक-सामाजिक जीवन पर हुआ दूरगामी परिणाम, इन सभी मुद्दों को जिस तरह से  श्री. भांडारी ने यहाँ रखा है, हिंदी पाठकों के लिए निश्चित ही वह बहुत नया  और रोचक अनुभव होगा।

A well-known name in the political and social life of Maharashtra,  Madhav Bhandari is recognized not only as a leader of  the Bharatiya Janata Party but also as a thoughtful,  reflective, and sensitive social worker. He is widely  known across Maharashtra for his intellectual depth  and social engagement.

In 1980, the late Vasantrao Bhagwat selected a group  of young individuals to expand the work of the BJP,  and Madhav Bhandari was one of them. During the Emergency , he worked as a journalist with the weekly Vivek.  He is also the author of several books such as 14  Garibaldi Street, Pratima Ani Vastav (an analysis of the  work of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh), and  Davyanchi Dhongbaji. Through these works, one can  see the investigative journalist and aware researcher  within him. His book Ayodhya reflects his deep and thorough study.

After India gained independence, the Ayodhya Ram  Janmabhoomi issue gained momentum in 1949. In 1984,  the Vishwa Hindu Parishad launched a movement for the  construction of the temple. As the intensity of this  movement increased, it acquired various political  dimensions, leading to multiple outcomes. On one side,  there was a political struggle, and on the other, a legal battle—through both paths, the Ram Janmabhoomi movement  continued to expand.

In this book, Madhav Bhandari has examined both  these aspects in detail, supported by strong evidence.  He has conducted extensive research on the Ayodhya  issue from ancient times to the present in a very accessible manner.
