साने गुरुजी यांनी स्वातंत्र्यलढ्यात भाग घेतल्यामुळे १९३१ मध्ये धुळ्याच्या तुरुंगात कारावास भोगत असताना त्यांनी 'इस्लामी संस्कृती' हा ग्रंथ लिहिला. 'साधना' साप्ताहिकातून त्यांनी या ग्रंथाचे प्रकाशन केले होते.
आज देशात आणि जगभरात इस्लामच्या नावाने काही धर्मांध शक्ती अतिरेकी कारवाया करीत आहेत. त्यामुळे इस्लाम धर्माची बदनामी होत आहे. अशा भयाण परिस्थितीत सकाळ प्रकाशनाने साने गुरुजी लिखित 'इस्लामी संस्कृती' हा संपूर्ण ग्रंथ पुनर्मुद्रित करून इस्लामचे खरे रूप समाजापुढे मांडले आहे. ग्रंथाच्या पहिल्या खंडात मुहंमद पैगंबर यांचे चरित्र सविस्तर पद्धतीने मांडले आहे. त्यामुळे इस्लाम धर्माबद्दलचे गैरसमज दूर होतील.
या उपक्रमाबद्दल सकाळ प्रकाशनाचे मी मनापासून अभिनंदन करतो. आणि विनंती करतो की, इस्लामी संस्कृतीप्रमाणे इतर धर्मांचा समावेश असलेला 'माणसे जोडणारा धर्मग्रंथ' त्यांनी प्रकाशित करावा. त्यातून सर्वधर्मसमभाव आणि धार्मिक एकात्मता हा विषय सर्वसामान्य माणसांपर्यंत पोहोचेल, अशी अपेक्षा व्यक्त करतो.
Since Sane Guruji participated in the freedom struggle, he was imprisoned in Dhule jail in 1931. During this period of imprisonment, he wrote the book “Islamic Culture.” This work was later published through the weekly “Sadhana.”
Today, in India and across the world, certain extremist forces are carrying out violent activities in the name of Islam, which has led to the defamation of the religion. In such a grim situation, Sakal Publication has reprinted the complete work “Islamic Culture” written by Sane Guruji, presenting the true essence of Islam before society. In the first volume of the book, the life of Prophet Muhammad is described in detail, which can help clear misconceptions about Islam.
