खूप वाचणे आणि त्याविषयी इतरांना सांगणे हा लहानपणापासूनचा छंद. त्यातूनच मराठी आणि इंग्लिश साहित्याची आवड निर्माण झाली. शालेय शिक्षिका असताना कथाकथन हे अध्यापन साधन म्हणून वापरण्याचे फायदे जाणवले. निवृत्तीनंतर आर्थिक दुर्बल गटातील मुलांसाठी चालवलेल्या शिक्षणवर्गांतही गोष्टी सांगण्याचा अध्यापनासाठी प्रभावी उपयोग करता आला याचा विशेष आनंद आहे.

पतीच्या नौदलातील नोकरीमुळे खूप वेगवेगळ्या गावांमध्ये राहणं झालं; आणि त्याहून महत्त्वाचे म्हणजे वेगवेगळ्या संस्कृतींतील माणसं भेटत गेली. या साऱ्या जगण्या-घडण्या-वाचण्यातून कधीतरी छोट्यांसाठी आणि मग मोठ्यांसाठी लिहू लागले. अनेक प्रथितयश नियतकालिकांतून कथा, लेख प्रकाशित. 'मायाळू मुंग्या : भाग एक' हे पुस्तक प्रकाशित; दोन पुस्तके प्रकाशनाच्या वाटेवर...
आणि पुढचा आनंद-प्रवास सुरू !

Reading extensively and sharing those experiences with others has been her passion since childhood. This gradually developed into a deep love for both Marathi and English literature. While working as a school teacher, she realized the effectiveness of storytelling as a teaching tool. After retirement, she found special joy in using stories as an impactful teaching method in educational classes conducted for children from economically weaker sections.

Due to her husband’s career in the Navy, she had the opportunity to live in many different towns. More importantly, she got to meet people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. From all these experiences of living, learning, and reading, she eventually began writing first for children and later for adults.

Her stories and articles have been published in several reputed magazines and journals. Her book “Mayalu Mungya: Part One” has been published, while two more books are awaiting publication... and thus continues her joyful literary journey ahead!
